New UK Customs Solutions Glasgow office & team!

Alongside the investment in our new Dover office we now also have offices based in the Abbey Mill Business Centre, in the heart of Historic Paisley Town. It is one of 4 buildings which manufactured thread for the Scottish textile industry until they closed their doors in 1923.

The building has now been beautifully restored to their former glory & is now a thriving hub for business use once more.

The office will be headed up by Yvonne Shaw and currently has four staff with one more joining in March. We are also in the process of recruiting more team members to develop what we expect to be a thriving and busy hub.

Meet the Uk Customs Glasgow Team

Yvonne has been in the industry for 28 years, starting off under a Youth Training Scheme in her first freight forwarding job doing Air Import.

From there working for 2 other freight forwarders, continuing to work in air imports, with some CFSP, before moving  on to Auditing & then finally Customs Compliance Manager.

Yvonne spent  23 years in this role before joining the UK Customs Solutions team.

The 2nd member of our team is Graihagh, she has been in the freight business for 27 years, she started out in a small office, where she learned Air Import, Exports, Road & Warehousing.

This company was bought out & Graihagh was given profit share, which she used to go travelling around Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand & Fiji doing some part time work along the way to help fund her travels.

She came back to the industry after her travels working in various different departments & is loving being busy in her new job with UK Customs Solutions.

Julie started with us Last week & has worked in the industry for 27 years through various different freight forwarders & Airlines working mostly in exports by Air & Road.

Julie is also trained in hazardous goods training & temperature-controlled cargo.

Jessica joined the team in February with a background in Multi-Modal freight operations and a couple of years exporting within the Whisky/drinks sector.

She also brings a knowledge of several European languages to the team which will be handy especially after Brexit.

We are sure that the extensive experience and knowledge brought together in this team will be extremely beneficial to our current and future customers.
