On Saturday 7th August, UK Customs Solutions hosted a family fun day, the first get together for the UKCS family since before the pandemic. It was also the first fundraiser for the newly adopted Shine charity, and the day’s raffle raised a great £1820 to start off UKCS’ support.
The day was a much-awaited event by all at UKCS after the easing lockdown, giving our people a chance to catch up and celebrate returning to normal after a trying 18 months.
General Manager Ian Barker gave his comments after the day:
“It really was great to get so many of us and our families together, after what have been really challenging ‘COVID-times’, for what turned out to be a truly fantastic UKCS celebration. Well done to the venue and to all those who helped pull it all together – great job!
We, and my family especially, need to thank ALL OF YOU who bought draw tickets in support of this year’s charity ‘Shine’. The staff, families, customers, suppliers have raised a massive £1,820 with yesterday’s efforts. An amazing achievement. And of course, a big, big thank you for all the donations that inspired us to part with our hard-earned cash!”
A big thank you to our raffle donators
UKCS were humbled by the support that they received from businesses when they reached out for raffle prizes at short notice.
